Real Estate In Divorce
Equity in real estate – the difference between what is owed on a mortgage and the property’s value -- is often the most-contested aspect of divorce, particularly with skyrocketing values in recent decades. Quite often, divorcing parties dispute how to properly divide the equity.
Several circumstances may cause one spouse to be entitled to a greater share of real estate equity than the other. Division of real estate equity is not always equal.
Some other real estate issues that create disputes include when one spouse wants to keep the home and buy out the other spouse’s portion.
Our clients benefit from our law firm’s ability in resolving real estate equity issues. We will work to protect your interests. |
